Project #8
My first attempt at up cycling. Found 3 new fabric napkins in a charity shop, washed them and decided to experiment using 1 to create cushion. Pink lace found at last years craft fair in Birmingham used to edge and create a centre decoration finished with a big button. Hoping someone will like it at the flower festival in September.
Another experiment. Idea inspired by a lovely lady at alittleshabbychic on YouTube. A fancy pin cushion filled with a little lavender and a crochet flower I had given to me some years ago. Another hopeful for the flower festival.

Project #7
I really wanted to make a start on sewing my Christmas tree skirt but I've been wanting to make a thread catcher for ages, to reduce the mess I make.
So finally that's what I did instead using my owl fabric and charms that my friend Jenny brought me (I do like Owls) Can you see the little owl charm glued on the button? I love the idea the pin cushion can be detached.
Might make more!!!

A few things ready for the flower festival in September
A lovely lady at Church makes us bits and bobs. Rightly or wrongly I couldn't help have a go at turning something plain into something pretty:
I hand sewn on the lace, including the butterflies ( brilliant find in the newly opened works) and glued on the pearl necklace too. It doesn't have to be a loo roll holder!
Also enjoyed making these shabby chic inspired heart lavender hangers:
You can also see another project, upcycling............
Project #6
Made this quick cushion cover using the Cat Pattern out of a Crafts Beautiful Magazine. Best thing didn't cost a thing as I had everything already including the cushion pad!
Simple!
